Renee Roos

Available for Private, Group, & Semi-Private Lessons

Renee has been coaching since 1988. She has been with Tony Kent Arena since 1992. Her disciplines include Freestyle, Moves in the Field, Hockey Skills, Basic Skills from tots to adults, ice dancing, and ice theatre. She teaches from recreational to regional competitive skaters. She has coached two New England Regional medalists and two National Showcase medalists (including 2007 National Silver medalist and 2008 National Champion). Renee is in charge of training the coaches for the Learn-to-Skate and Semi-Private programs at Tony Kent and trains hockey players statewide on technique and conditioning. Her experience in on ice training classes includes: power, spin and jump training, ice dancing, and edge work. Renee is the Secretary of the Cape and Islands Figure Skating Council, an association that serves all the clubs on Cape Cod and the Islands. She is Professional Skaters Association Hockey Accredited, a USFS & PSA Rated Member and USFS silver medalist. She has worked under Olympic and World coaches, Evy and Mary Scotvold. She graduated from Bryant University with a Bachelor of Science in Management and Marketing.

Dr. Briana Lackenby

Available for Private, Group, & Semi-Private Lessons

Briana has been a Figure Skating coach since 1995. She has experience with Freestyle, Moves in the Field, Basic Skills, Choreography, Showcase and off-ice classes. Briana has attained her Gold Level Freestyle and Moves in the Field tests. Briana trained with Olympic and World Coaches Evy & Mary Scotvold and was a Regional & Sectional ranked competitor. In addition Briana is a Doctor of Physical Therapy board certified in orthopedics. She is also certified as a strength and conditioning specialist and works as the assistant clinic director of Cape Cod Rehabilitation outpatient/sports physical therapy. Briana has been trained by Igor Burdenko in land and aquatic rehabilitation and sports conditioning (you may remember him as the man who got Nancy Kerrigan back on her skates using the pool prior to the 1994 Olympics). In addition to being a member of USFS and PSA, Briana is also a member of the US Figure Skating Sports Medicine Society and oversees the development of off-ice training at her facility. Briana has a special interest in the design and choreographing of showcase skating and has had three National Showcases medalists. On the ice Briana is available for Private, Group, & Semi-Private Lessons, or she can be contacted specifically for music editing and choreography. Off-ice Briana can be contacted for private, semi-private or group sports conditioning and jump training.
